Is This A Repeat of the History?!
Dear Friends & Neighbors,

Today, May 9, 2017, President Trump (via recommendation of the Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein), has fired the FBI Director James Comey. The official explanation for the firing is for Comey’s mishandling a probe of Hillary Clinton’s emails. Given the timing of the firing, instead of occurring in January, it is announced today as Comey was leading a counterintelligence investigation into potential Russian interference in the 2016 election. CNN learned, just hours before the firing of Comey by President Trump, of the subpoenas issued by federal prosecutors to associates of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn seeking business records, as part of the probe of Russian interference of 2016 election.
Below, is a collage of videos of President Trump’s praise of former Director James Comey and FBI prior to the firing:
This sudden firing of FBI Director James Comey by President Donald Trump is quite reminiscent of the Saturday Night Massacre of October 1973, when Richard Nixon ordered his Attorney General Elliot L. Richardson (who refused), then his Deputy Attorney General William D. Ruckelshaus (who also refused), to fire Watergate special prosecutor Archibald Cox. Eventually the Solicitor General Robert Bork (later not confirmed as the Supreme Court Justice due to his firing of Archibald Cox) did the deed in firing Cox. Yes, presidents of the United States do have rights to fire people in many critical positions, but such sudden and panicked reaction often represents the first shovel that leads to the presidential grave (in case of President Nixon, his eventual resignation).
