My previous post on How To Spot & Prevent Magnesium Deficiency generated a lot of discussion among readers. Apparently, many benefited from adding more magnesium-rich food and/or supplementing their diet or taking Epsom-Salt baths. Through more careful attention for magnesium, some are successful in ridding back soreness, muscle cramps, muscle tic, some in ridding anxiety, constipation, etc. For those of you who are living a life of high stress, high level of intake of refined carbohydrates, and/or high intake of diuretics, it is a good idea to have your spectro (instead of the serum-) magnesium tested. Dr. Glidden comments that oxidative damage in our body as the main cause of inflammation. Body with proper nutrition (with sufficient quantity of 90 essential nutrients, especially selenium) would have better chance of handling/dealing with all causes of inflammation. It is also important to try to avoid environmental factors likely to contribute to inflammation and free radicals: factors such as fried food or oil in a bottle.
